Teaching Artist Application

For practicing artists and instructors. While we focus on printmaking and book arts, we encourage interdisciplinary instruction and welcome class proposals in drawing, painting, collage, photography, and beyond. Have an idea for a class or workshop? Fill out the form below and let’s talk!

Note: Instructors are paid 50% of the total registration fees per class, HPC retains 50% to cover operating costs. Registration fees are typically $25/hour per student, so $75 for a 3-hour class, $100 for a 4-hour class, etc.

For example: if the registration fee is $100 per student and 12 students are enrolled, the instructor is paid $600. If 6 students are enrolled at $100 each, the instructor is paid $300.

Supplies: Instructors are responsible for providing any supplies other than ink, brayers, palettes, ink knives, and general clean-up supplies. Instructors will set a “supply kit fee” that students will pay directly to the instructor at the time of the workshop. Please note that HPC does not provide paper.

Instructors may also ask that students purchase their own supplies in cases where a workshop may require materials such as leather or paper that can be costly or based on the student’s personal preference. If this is the case for your workshop, you will need to provide a list of supplies that students will need to purchase.
