HPC is excited to team up with Mallory Doyle of Clockwork Tattoo to bring you Ink for Ink, a flash tattoo event to benefit the Hartford Press Co-op! As you know, we’re deep in our fundraising efforts with plans to open a space later this fall. You can help us out by getting inked with us on October 6th!

Join us at the Nightfall Community Jam to print your own paper mask and paper crown with our Nightfall inspired linoleum blocks! This event is free and open to all.

Designed to be an entry level exploration of Printmaking as a medium for the curious beginner, we know you’ll be just as enamored with making prints as we are! Each method will be explained step by step while you work with your instructor to create exciting new pieces in five different media! Explore the techniques of Drypoint with Christopher Roque, Monotype with Jenni Freidman, Screenprint with Kathleen Woodward of Woodward Paper Company, Book Arts with Krista Narciso and Relief with Alexis Christina Crowley.

Join us for a pop-up event at HPC committee member Zoe Chatfield’s garden! Pick your own flowers, print them using gelli plate monotype techniques, enjoy herbal tea, and take home a seed packet with seeds from Zoe’s garden. $20-25 suggested donation. No one turned away for lack of funds.

Design, carve, and print your own linoleum block for custom relief prints. This is a great introduction to printmaking for beginners.

Join HPC founder and instructor Krista for a Gyotaku, or fish printing, pop-up event at first anniversay of Goslee Pool in Windsor. Ink and print model fish to create prints with interesting texture and unique shapes.

We are partnering with Hot 11 Yoga for a donation based all levels yoga class at Frisbee Landing in Cromwell. Practice by the river in the grass or under the gazebo in the shade. This class is taught by our very own Krista Narciso.

$10 suggested donation, any amount accepted. 100% of the proceeds benefit our fundraising efforts for a permanent space and operating expenses.

Join HPC committee member Zoe Chatfield of Found Floral for an afternoon of floral arrangements, DIY bouquets, saved seeds, and floral and nature themed prints from the Hartford Press Co-op.

Meet us on Pratt Street for a pop-up workshop as part of Gentle Bull Shop’s Mother's Day Market! Print your own Mother’s Day card with, and shop our selection of hand-printing gifts, with proceeds benefitting our fundraiser for a new studio!

Join HPC instructors Jenni Freidman and Katie Woodward for a valentine making workshop! Jenni and Katie will guide you through designing, carving, and printing your own linoleum block for custom valentine cards. Registration is $40 and includes all supplies. Participants will go home with hand-printed valentines and their linoleum block, so you can continue to print more on your own! Pre-registration is recommended, space is limited to 12 participants. HPC will be popping up at Artlighten for a monotype workshop! Genna Riggi of Artlighten LLC will teach participants monotype printing methods using a Vandercook Press (just like the one being donated to HPC!) And the HPC team will be showing methods for printing by hand without a press. $25 from each registration goes toward the HPC’s fundraising efforts.

HPC will have a table at Hartford Prints! 10th Anniversary Night Market! Stop by to make a print on our provisional press or purchase a print from an HPC artist. Funds raised from donations and print sales at this event will go toward securing a permanent space for the HPC.

The HPC is collaborating with Hartford Art School galleries to print t-shirts for gallery student workers and tote bags for sale in the galleries. Tote bags will be sold for $25 with all proceeds benefitting the HPC. We're collaborating with Free Hart Closet to host a pop-up Press Party Fundraiser!

Drop in between 2 and 5pm on Saturday, June 17th to check out the new FREE HART space before it opens and to create your own print(s) to take home on HPC’s portable mini press!

Suggested donation is $25 and will be split between both initiatives. You can of course donate more or less; no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

The HPC is raising funds to secure a space in Hartford that will allow us to offer space, press time, and workshops on our four presses. FREE HART is raising funds to offer free, non-intimidating art and craft workshops in their new space.
